Unexpected adverse events occur in the biomedical industry. How we respond to them and what we learn from them will determine whether they happen again.

This course will introduce attendees to root cause analysis and will explain how to apply it to problems they encounter while working in animal care and use programs. Root cause analysis provides a framework for looking past the superficial factors related to an event, and to identify the source of the problem so that corrective action may be taken.
